Vocabulary development is essential across all content areas -- ELAR, math, science, social studies, CTE, fine arts, and beyond -- and one must KNOW vocabulary in order to READ with mastery. In this interactive session, discover a variety of research-based strategies that can be integrated into workshops and trainings to help teachers enhance vocabulary acquisition.

Participants will rotate through three interactive stations that model how timelines can support analysis, historical thinking, and argument development. You will walk away with ready-to-use strategies and a plan for integrating timelines into your instruction. Whether you have used timelines for years or are new to this thinking, this session will expand your toolkit and inspire new possibilities for helping students make meaning across time, text, and content area.
